On to Quebec
From our first hotel in Kingston, we had a long drive to Quebec City. We were heading for Lévis first, which is directly across the St. Lawrence River from Quebec City. An AirBnb awaited our arrival. We would be staying there from Sunday evening until Thursday.
Weather was favourable for the drive with only a small amount of rain. More had been predicted because of the hurricane coming up the east coast.
Laura, driving my car, suggested her dad was watching out for us as we had so little rain compared to what we might have expected. Evy was front seat passenger, learning to watch for directions. At almost 16 she anticipated getting her driver’s license soon.

We watched for the sign that we entered the province of Québec, and the kids ate and chatted in each vehicle, putting in time. We were glad to arrive in the city of Lévis and find our home for the next four nights.

Of course all eyes peeled to the pool. Our young people gladly carried bags in the sooner to get into the pool to cool off.

The pool!

The kids were glad to get in the swimming pool after our arrival and unloading things from the car.
Together we decided on some of the meals. We’d eat breakfast and supper at the Air Bnb and only eat the middle meal on location to save some dollars. Taking into account what the kids and adults like to eat, Laura and Kim made a list. They went off to locate a grocery store and the kids and I went on a walk to discover the neighbourhood.
Our plan was to barbecue that first night and Dave was in charge of the barbecue part.

All of us except for our photographer, Kim. Enjoying our bbq supper

Doing a selfie with a group like this is a big challenging, but Kim is in there.

The young ones were delighted when Dave and Laura hooked up video games for them on the television in the living room. There’s a lot of room to spread out in this lovely home.
We relaxed that first evening. Ready for our first day in Quebec City the next day.
